So cool! This place is an asset to the community. Amazing to see how people would’ve lived, a stark contrast to our modern way of life. Beautiful to see working horses used for what they’re bred for!

Absolutely fab day out with the kids. My children age 4 and 8 had the best time here. Tbh I didn't think it would be such a hit. They thoroughly enjoyed following the kids trail to find the keys to unlock boxes and solve the clues. They also really enjoyed speaking to the volunteers who were great at explaining the buildings and the lives of the people who used to love there in a way they understood. The play barn was a great experience and we all had a lot of fun. Thank you!

Lovely living museum, if you like your history you'll love going around this place. Different buildings from different eras, lots of artefacts. We went in half term and there was crafting on. Horses and chickens there too, a schoolmistress who kept my younger 2 in shape during their Victorian lesson! Cafe is nice with good food. We were there about 3hours and didn't quite get to see it all, we will be returning!! Tickets are cheaper if you book online!

Wonderfully informative place. I just wish we had had even more time to take it all in. Talking to the volunteers was so illuminating and we will definitely return later in the year.

Good place to visit with interesting historical houses. Feel there could be more information provided at each site or perhaps an audio guide. Quite a large area so you need to be reasonably fit to walk round the whole site.

Came in for a brief stop in the cafe. Big mistake, Cake, Panini, Chips, Mocha, I could hardly continue with my walk which went straight up Hat Hill just outside the Museum. The cafe is excellent I did not get to see the Museum this time but will go back specifically for that.

What an amazing visit. We arrived expecting that this would be a quick museum visit, but it turned into a complete day. There are so many buildings to look at, and so many very keen and engaged volunteers to talk to. We checked out the Repair Shop and spent ages chatting to the two guys in the forge. We purchased bread from the bakery and saw where it was ground in the mill. We did a tour of the repository and saw the amazing roof over the building (13:30 tour time, don't miss it). Well worth the visit. We bought our tickets in advance, as they were cheaper online.

Absolutely lovely visit! The grounds were stunning and everyone was extremely knowledgeable and kind. This was our first stop on our England trip and we couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the country. That being said, right side drivers beware your GPS! Make sure it doesn't take you off of A and B roads. There are some extremely small village roads near the museum and they are challenging, to say the least, to inexperienced left side drivers (like I was)
